| After my trusty Nikon Coolpix 5200 disappeared I replaced it with this model. I expected great things but remain very disappointed. The main problem is the trueness of the colours in the photos. I've looked at them on various screens and even had them developed at 3 different places but to no avail. | This series of cameras are very good. My daughter ( whos 2) threw mine in the bin when i wasnt looking and it gor thrown out ! anyway, despite what some have been saying, I use rechargeable AA batteries for my Sony Cybershots and have done for 4 years ! They are so much better than non rechargeable and far more eco friendly Far more. Buy two or three packs of recahrgeables so you always have a spare and you will be ok. Best Sound quality on a small camera mic there is ! |

I have been looking round for a digital camcorder, some over £100. As I didn't want to spend a lot I saw this one and heard good things about it. Good things I can agree with. | I love this. Haven't quite figured out how to use all the features yet, but I can use it and I like it very much. For the price it is now (I paid £178) it is a steal, although you have to add the cost of DVDs, carry-case and memory stick if you are using one. The discs (once finalised) slip straight into the PC and DVD and play in my case (although strangely one of them will not play on the DVD for some reason). | Had this now for just over a month and used it in a variety of locations. Indoor performance is OK - still way better than any SD cameras I have owned previously, but outdoor and decently-lit scenes are simply mind-blowing.

experiance (ordered mid afternoon delivered next morning). This camcorder is my 4th over the last 12 years and is certainly the best yet,amazing price considering my 1st camcorder cost me £1,600. Video quality is amazing even after copying to a standard DVD (I recorded video footage using the max quality settings)as the transfer to DVD is automatically done in SD mode. so you record in high detail and make both HD (AVCHD) & standard copies. ... | Been using this for a couple of months now and am impressed with its pictures
Its so good it seems a little cynical to have not included a mic socket - probably not to harm sales of their pro cameras. Obviously - You should be aware that you will need mega free memory for HD footage converted from AVCHD files - having a gig per minute is about right. | Got this little Sony Camcorder very recently and have never had one of these before, luckily I have a good friend who knows about this stuff and recommended this SR55 along with the Canon FS10.
So very easy to use and got the hang of it within minutes plus the results are superb, really good feature that swung it for me was the low light sensor that is so good that you can almost go ghost hunting!!! | Bought this in August and took it on holiday to France. Easy to use, no instructions necessary, fun, simple, small and addictive!! Works a dream with iMovie on iMac, although the built-iin software is good. Transfers to IPod well to bore friends with and you can carry it around all the time. My only reservation is that long distance is not so good, but that's not really what it's for. Hours of fun, money well spent. |

| I bought this camera via Amazon and use it for both business and pleasure. I needed a camera that provided high quality images both still and video for business with detailed views of the environment and macro images for forensic work. I have not been at all disappointed. I have used it in the UK "as is" and got magnificent results with pinpoint clear video and stills. I have also been using it in the Middle East but to protect it from humidity and sand bought the SPK-HCD Sports Pack. Although bulky that performs well.
