| This is a great all round printer. Which is a real bargain.
To answer some questions/concerns: This printer does have a MAC CD, so can be used with Mac's. Yes, this printer can use ink quickly, but change the settings to print only from black cartridge and this will make a big difference on colour use. | I ordered the Canon MP610 on Sunday and received it from Pixmania (via Amazon) on Wednesday. No complaints there!
The machine is surprisingly heavy and does take up quite a bit of space, which is no problem to me as I keep it on a small table next to my desk. Setup is simple and the quality of print far outperforms my previous Brother machine and is the best I've seen from an inkjet printer. | I purchased this printer last week to replace my existing HP 'all in one' printer. When I unpacked the box I read the installation instructions before doing any thing else. I then carried out the installation step by step. Every thing went well and the printer installed with out any problems. I had it up and working in about 20 mins from starting the install. I have XP on my computer with USB-1 not 2 this did not cause any problems.

| The printer looked good, was easy to use and printed well UNTIL I updated to a laptop with vista - now every day the machine wants to install a new driver, constantly wants to do updates and has fatal update errors - its DRIVING ME MAD - it has even affected the perfomance on my non vista desktop - BUY SOMETHING ELSE |

| i bought this printer for two reasons- 1, the price and 2 the fact its epson. im not what you would call a heavy printer i only do random things like print off email confirmations, colouring in sheets for the kids ect.i found it very easy to set up when it arrived- i even put in the cartridges all by myself lol. the quality of one photo i printed wasnt amazing but still good,basicly what im trying to say is if you just want a family printer/copier/scanner then i think this is brilliant. if you want excellent quality then ... | Being a mac user myself, I was wary of the printer not working with them after reading some reviews. However, I bought it anyway and although the CD did not work with my mac, the drivers and software i downloaded from the epson support webpage made the printer work as it should. I wanted to write this incase people were put off by reports of it not working with macs... it does. (I am using 10.5 Leopard)

| Love this product! Delivery was very prompt. Received within a couple of days of ordering. Compact design without too many complicated buttons to play with. Very easy to set up and use. Got mine done in less than five minutes! Not bad for a middle aged guy! Instructions were very easy to follow. Once I'd put my glasses on! The range of the internal mic is suprisingly good. | I work in a store where I get to set up and use printers daily. The 8180 is on constant power so customers can use it themselves and see how easy it is to use. All the HP's are easier to use than the other manufacturers.
The Ink systen is good but has small capacity. The inks you can buy seperately or in triple packs hold more ink than the 6-pack with paper. You can buy a ink supply system from CISS but this should be done with great caution as it will denegrade the printer head and not produce as good pictures. The ... Read More: |
