VHS : The Tales Of Para Handy - Master Mariner

Such an extraordinary cast, great level of performance and rough but tasty load of scottish humour. I have seen so many positive reviews of this series - it seems insane this great piece of ententainment isn't available on DVD. I'd buy it instantly.

VHS : Trainspotting [1996]
as someone from Edinburgh who lived and went to plenty of the places mentioned in Trainspotting i have to say read the book the book instead which has the full content and message rather than just a comic short hand for what was happening at the time. It made fashionista fools think that taking hard drugs was a nice activity and gave them kudos and brought in too many people too Edinburgh looking for that lifestyle.
I have never managed it all the way through and think it is just an alternative ... Read More:

VHS : The Big Blue: Version Longue [1989]
I first watched this movie in 1992 in America and loved it. The calmness of Jacques was so ethereal and gave Jean Reno a chance to shine so comically. I became an instant fan and started watching more Luc Besson movies. However, on returning to the UK and purchasing it for a friend, I was mortified by the Eric Sierra score which jarred with the story. To add insult to injury, I purchased 2 soundtrack cd's hoping for the Goldsmith music. So what I'm trying to say is, watch the US version which is a completely different ... Read More:

VHS : Alice In Wonderland (1951) (Disney)
First time i saw this movie i was about 6 or 7 years old and it became one of my favorite cartoons.
Then i watched it last night (Im 24 now) and it was more intresting than the first time.
I think Alice in Wonderland is a pure acid trip story, check the colors, voices, the worm with the bong and that mushroom (Magic mushroom maybe) she ate that made her big and small ??????? and also that weird cat.
This movie is made in a way that makes any one who watches it love it.

VHS : Shirley Valentine [1989]
The reality of Shirley Valentine is that it's very grounded in reality. Every moment of the film is fraught with ambiguity, moral and emotional. Shirley's trip to Greece and subsequent adventures are not Hallmark moments. She realizes quite clearly that her fantasies are superimposed on the necessities of reality. She doesn't marry a tycoon: she gets a waitress job. She realizes from the get-go that her relationship with Costas is a good-natured fraud. The ending of the movie doesn't answer any questions except "How does Shirley feel right ... Read More:

VHS : Les Miserables [1995]
Having seen the show live in the west end I was pleased as punch to see that this had been released. This truly is the dream cast. Ruthie Henshall, Michael Ball, Philip Quast are all simply sensational. From the opening through to the barricades to the bitter sweet ending it's perfect. Listen out for Philip Quast as he sings 'Stars' just stunning. colm Wilkinson is wonderful as Jean Valjean. And ruthie henshall is stunning as Fantine. the perfect show with the perfect cast. Leah Salonga is worthy of a mention for her stunning portrayal of Eppoinine. Stunning, ... Read More:

My daughter got a rebounder for Xmas 3 years ago. I have used it much more than her doing this video. It is brilliant fun, excellent aerobic excercise and make you feel really good by the end. Only problem for the older mothers is a bit of leakage! I did find however that this improved the more I did it (perhaps training my pelivic floor??)

The 3 people on the video obviously really enjoy what they are doing and the 2 "helpers" at the back sometimes get it wrong which gives me heart.

Got Lucy Knights Gymball video for Xmas. The workout is good, but she ... Read More:
