| A Star Is Born is an exellent film I got it on DVD on Christmas day exactly 30 years after its realese.The acting is great Streisand shines as the singer and the musical numbers are absoultley fantastic the hairs stand up on the back of my neck every time!.Kris Kristoffersen does a great job playing a rock star on his dimise.The DVD has some great extras such as commentary by Barbra Streisand,Wardrobe tests and deleted scenes it's definetly worth the watch so Watch Closley Now this Evergreen film ... | If you want to see results and results quick, I say there is nothing better than to look into history, back in 92, I used to do these video religiously with fantastic results. After lending them out! they must have been that good I never got them back, but thanks to Amazon I have now ordered them again 14yrs later because I know I will get the results that I want and will eventually be able to exercise just 12 mins a day to fit into my hectic lifestyle.5 star not 1! |

There are faults you can find in it, certainly, but when it's finished you are still with it, and this has most to do with the affecting performance of Smith, which is intense, emotional and even a tad theatrical. | The film doesn't do the book justice. Out of the 2 film versions this one has better actors in it. The other version has actors that look too old and aren't anything like I imagine. The plot is changed on various occasions and is not as gripping as the book is. I would watch the film first then read the book so you will not be disappointed. |
