| First the good news : Easy to install on XP and the interface seems user friendly. Now the not so good news : Despite running incremental backups every week for several months when I actually needed to use the product it did not restore all of the data and hung at 97% completion. Perhaps foolishly I tried again and was informed that the backup was corrupted. Gave up. | A bog standard internet security suite that so far shows few chinks in its armoury of defences. What I will say, however, is that it slows down the PC it is used on far more than the old version of Norton that it replaced. Maybe this is down to the machine it is on and its fairly low-spec (it is only 3 years old), but its performance has deteriorated considerably since its installation. |

| This version offers little more than version 9 and is far more memory intensive. I Bought this directly from Corel and have been unable to even activate it as it just hangs. The help is hopeless and I have removed this from my PC and am looking to get a refund.

| I was fortunate enough to be lent this DVD and in conjunction with the Theory CD passed my theory test first time around. That said, I am learning to ride a motorcycle as an experienced driver. The DVD progressively explains Hazards with a gradual emphasis on differentiating static hazards from Developing ones (ie ones which absolutely force a driver/rider to change speed or direction). | I really enjoy making my Family tree!
There is now so many new members of my family I have found just by using this. Ive had no problem at all loading known members or unknown members on to my tree. Its so easy to use and simple to learn, I have even brought the product for my mum to do as a past time. |

| I have just installed this version which is Family Tree Maker 2006 (v13.0.285) and has loaded in our family tree from the 2005 version. As such, it represents excellent value for money, especially if you want to upgrade but not to the entirely new 2008 version. The carton says it will run under Vista with a download from the GSP site.
It comes with two discs, one with the program and the other with video clips and family trees of celebrities featured in the first three series. |

| If only it would open an MPEG-2 file sound channel, I would rate it higher and not regret having it. I fail to understand how a file generated in a Sony Camcorder and downloaded into a Sony DVD recorder, which then dubs it onto a dvd can manage not to have the sound recognized by Sony Vegas. This is specially weird when the same disc is correctly loaded by Ulink, Cyberlink and Adobe software. |

| Remember when Nero looked like a piece of shareware, well version 8 still does.
I purchased Nero 6 when it first came out and found it a most user friendly piece of software, but with Nero 8 they have totally lost the plot. It's like trying to find your way around a maze! If your current version does everything you want, stick with it. Me I'm reloading Nero 6. |
