| I have just got the box set recently, and have been enjoying it greatly. Not just that, my three daughters aged 9, 6 and 2 are great fans, and want to listen to it all the time in the car. And the two-year-old even says 'Rock' once she hears the first few bars of 'We will rock you'. Just goes on to show that Queen truly made ageless music, which still scores far above most contemporary music. |

| In the modern world with the formulaic, follow-my-leader attitude which has given us so many bands sounding the same and trying to follow in the footsteps of industry leaders like Arctic Monkeys, I can't overstate how much the Black Kids are a breath of fresh air.

| I was actually going to make exactly the point that Mr Hunter made about this album. "If you have bought previous chillout albums before, then it's fairly pointless you buying this." However, if like me you haven't, then it's very much worth the purchase.

| I must say that I agree entirely with the review by Mr H Pearce, entitled "A change of direction", and cited as the "most helpful critical review" - he has hit the nail on the head.
I too was a big fan of Hold Your Colour as a superb cross-over album, with just the right amount of grittiness to make substantial rock and DnB references, without making both completely homogonised and bland. | This album is just brilliant.
I started off thinking that it was all a bit odd and that only "Weird Fishes" really stood out. However after several listenings all the tracks stand out, which despite being a tad illogical is true. Further proof in my ever so humble opinion that Radiohead are the finest band since the Beatles, bar none. I also liked the way the album was sold. | I have to say that I dislike the Beach Boys surfer-era ethos intensely, as do a lot of people I know, and I have had a devil of a job getting them to listen to this cd with their prejudices left at home. I bought the cd set on the basis of all the rave reviews in the media etc, thinking I'll give it a go and could always sell it on ebay if it was rubbish. How wrong I was!!! | I really loved the first Fratellis album and this one is even better!
There's a lot more variety in this one, experimenting with many different styles, ending up with one of the best albums so far of 2008. The songs perhaps aren't as catchy or memorable as the likes of "Chelsea Dagger" but the quality is definitely higher. Well recommended for an easy listen that can also be blasted out for some mad, jump around, shouty tunes. |

| I brought this album after seeing Santogold perform a mash up with Roots Manouver, I have not been dissapointed. At first her voice has a similar same sound to Nelly Furtado but the originality of the music makes her stand out. If you like the party, rave, feel of M.I.A then this is definately a good investment, there is an element of ska and rave to all the tracks, ones to skip straight to are Creator and Lights Out. |

| this CD is really just another example of the music companies trying to fleece us the poor consumer. whilst the music of Billy Joel is superb in any format this best of is just a rehash of his Essential collection.
unless you have a burning desire to own Scenes from an Italian Resteraunt and Only the Good Die young then i would seriously recommend 'The Essential Billy Joel' 36 tracks in all and 16 of them which you get on this album. |
