| I entirely agree with the first reviewer, in that these recipes are among the tastiest food I've ever eaten - and I've been cooking for over 30 years, including Chinese food. The only criticism I would make is that in some places the text is somewhat light on detail. Anyone tackling the "Spicy dofu & edamame beans" needs to be aware that you will need a non-stick saucepan to fry the dofu. | Given my title, that would suggest that I havn't made anything from this book, and if you assumed that, you would be right. So, you may wonder what right I have to review a cookery book when I have not tried any of the recipes, surely though a cookery book has suceeded to an extent if it inspires you to attempt only one of the recipes presented to you on it's pages.
And that is the main problem with this book in my opinion, it just hasn't made me go into my kitchen and want to recreate any of ... Read More: |

| Having been a recipient of The Broons and Oor Wullie annuals every Christmas for the past 50+ years, I was enchanted by this book.
It combines sensible, every day recipes with a window into the family life. More importantly, it settles a long-running Scottish argument - as can be seen from the address on a postcard, the Broons very definitely reside in Dundee! |

For the last two years there's been a greater use of colour printing and the whole appearance of the book is more attractive. It's inevitably weighted towards more populated areas with very few entries for far-flung places, where in truth one needs guidance even more. | I bought this book because it's Gordon Ramsay and it was on special on Amazon. I found the book badly laid out and the pages too busy looking. The recipes are good but I've hardly used it because I don't like the look (or feel!) of the book. |

| My friend bought me this book because she knew I was a great fan of Dragons Den and she had seen me consume a fair few bottles of Reggae Reggae Sauce since it hit the shelves.

| I bought this wonderful book some time ago as a friend recommended it.
It is a fabulous gem of a book and if you follow the recipes to the letter you will never be disappointed. I found the dishes to be very close to that of Indian restaurants. One tip I would pass on is to buy the garum masala mix from a proper indian food shop as the type sold in Tesco and the like are definitely not the same and ruin the taste of the curry.
