| Brilliant unit, does exactly what it says on the box, and so easily too! But, the LORD help you should you get a problem.
The Web site is a veritable maze unless you want to buy something. My first problem was when I purchased a year's subscription for speed camera updates - they would not install on my unit. Having (eventually) found the support page on the web site I asked for assistance to get my purchase installed - TomTom never answered! Once the guarantee had expired, the unit suddenly ... | Bought this together with the Nuvi. It's the one like in the pictures submitted by A. Hogben (picture 2,3,4) which has a foldover flap. It is leather, but feels thin & cheap. Holds my Nuvi alright though, which is what I expect from it. It has a belt loop at the back if you ever fancy using it. I think the flaps closes with a magnet - I wonder whether it affects my unit? Hope not... |

| I've been using my Forerunner 305 for over 2 weeks now and I am very, very happy with it. Although I know it is sad, but this little device was one of my main motivations to get back into long distance running after a 5 year break.

| the one i recieved is slightly different , black but opens like a purse .sat nav slides in nice and snug a flap comes over and seals case with two very small magnets either side of case |

| I brought the 520 because of it's many features. Without a doubt it's a very good navigation system, unfortunately many of it's features proved to be of little use.
For a start the auto display dimming feature did not work properly. This was because the location of the sensor had been poorly designed. They should have mounted it on the rear of the unit so it was facing out towards the light, not on the front facing towards the dark interior of the car. | First off voice input is a joke: you have to press loads of buttons to get to it anyway!
This satnav is my first though I've used my boss's simple garmin lots over the past few years. I went with this one beacause of IQ routes and Lane Guidance but these are totally irrelevant when you realise how bad it's maps are. I live in North London an area you would expect to be well mapped but no, TomTom has no idea of loads of 'no left/right turn' signs or 'one way' streets. | As an ex geography teacher I had always been happy to rely on my knowledge of the UK and map reading abilities. Now I live in France and things are more difficult. I had to look up where places were, plan a route and sometimes have to write it down. Isn't that what a GPS system does for you? So I went for TomTom Europe v4. Apart from taking over an hour to locate satellites when switched on for the first time (we were having a thunderstorm at the time - would that make a difference?) it has done everything it is supposed to without any problems at ...
