| Well, let's start by an admission, I'm only 1/2 way through so far. I'm writing because I feel the book is underdelivering on its core promise - that of being a way to improve ones own ability to persuade.
I work in marketing and am always interested in new ways to increase the persuasiveness of what I do - both to persuade customers to buy more, but more importantly to be more persuasive with the internal stakeholders I need on my side in order to be able to do anything at all. Read More: |

| I didnt get this book at all. I dont understand what all the fuss is about. Its not a very brillant style of writing. I have read "who moved my cheese" and was not impressed either.
I don't understand why its a bestseller. |

| It is a good book to get you started. Covers alot of the models in NLP and is set out so its easy to read and understand. But as i said a very basic book.
If you want some good advice as a rule of thumb on getting books on NLP avoid the new stuff. Stick to the earlier books by Bandler preferably the first ones for e.g 'From Frogs to Princes ( is a must if your serious about this subject ) not only are they humerous but are like the bible of the subject and come from the pioneers, the fountain ... I CANNOT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH OF THIS BOOK. THIS TRULY IS A LIFE CHANGING BOOK! I have read many books on spirituality but this book is still my favourite. My advice - If you are new to the concepts introduced in this book then, please just be patient and openminded to explore a different belief system. | As said before if you watch his show most of what is in the book will be nothing new, if you are looking for advice on specific problems and how to cure them this is not for you.
It really just goes over cesar's attitude towards dealing with your dog rather than an specifics. It is nicely written and I did enjoy reading it and it did give me a push to be more confident around my dogs to help influence them which I do feel helps, although I'm not into alpha rolls or choke chains. | As someone keen to learn from entrepreneurs I didn't find this book useful; it is too brief and lacking in substance to be of any real use in that respect. I like Richard Branson and feel that he surely has much more insight to offer than is contained within this short book, so I will probably buy his full autobiography.

| Don't bother with this book. One must suspect that it's all a clever trick which will contribute to Paul McKenna's success in life but definitely not to yours. I followed the book and listened to the CD exactly as directed. It's hard to believe the generally platitudinous advice but for a week it seems worth a try.
Of course absolutely nothing changed and I question my naivety in ever thinking that reading a simplistic book and listening to a frankly very boring CD could make any difference in the real world. There are many people ... Read More: |

| The book's all theory - you need one of his $2,950 courses to make it work, or get a book on it, as he tells you to do on page 77. So what's the point of buying this book? The first 67 pages are his definitions and his hugely time wasting theory. There's loads of repetiton.
The book lacks `canned material' - whole examples of everything you might say and do from start to finish. If there was just one chapter on it, the book would justify itself. But that would be the only chapter you would need to learn, and its missing. I've finished it, re ... Read More: |
