| It is a good book, but you need to watch the sections on learning styles. Read the LSDA reports before you base your ideas around any of the contentious stuff. |

| Having read most of Yalom's other books, I expected this to be an insightful and instructive read. And so it proved. Yalom's ten 'cases' are recounted with gentleness, caring and consideration. The author does not cast himself in the role of the psychiatrist-God who has all the answers but as a person with likes and dislikes, with successes and failures, someone whose best intentions at times backfire and who can hit the spot with some of his patients through sheer accident. | 'Salt and Vinegar', as this book has affectionately come to be know, has become something of a bible to a 3rd year med student. It has most of the information you'd need for the specialty rotations.
When compared to the OHCM, however, improvements to the layout of some of the text needs improving. Also, the 'insights' given in this book- quotes from books, ethical tangents, are all too often not insightful at all. They're long and not always optional reading, as they're woven into the essential reading. |

| I've read dozens of so called self help books including several on cosmic ordering without ever seeing any real benefit. I think perhaps I have been too ready to finish one book and go on to another without taking any sustained action in order to profit. Audio CDs have never worked for me either so I was astounded when I had immediate results from Stephen Richards Audiobook - Cosmic Ordering Connection.

| The Hicks couple spread - when correctly understood and hopefully put in the Christian prospective which is at the root of all these teachings, as the very title of the original book shows - a beautiful message.
Still, they keep cooking the same soup again and again, as this books also shows. By far the best books is, in my eyes, the first one: "Ask and it is given". | This is a great book, nice print and easy to read. I was desperate to help my son who gets angry and frustrated quite alot. He is autistic and has speech and language problems and it was distressing to see him so angry. This book has helped alot. |

| Actually when i first opened it, i found it fascinating. The ideas behind it are great (even though it doesn't always work for everything) but soon it goes on and on, round and round the same thing. It's not a big book already, i think it should be even shorter and to the point and could tell a bit about the controversial issues that it takes to: STOP THINKING ABOUT EVERYTHING... Still, i think it's a great book! |
