| I had high expectations following reading other reviews but was a bit disappointed. I am not saying it was a bad book, just okay. I think its audience is really for people who really do not know where to start in terms of personal development, being stuck in a rut, not knowing where to go..... In that sense it is very good, but if you are looking for something a bit meatier in content this is not the book for you. But it is a fun read, motivational in parts and written in a very good style.

| Great book, I use it more than the main one we have been set for my course at uni. Used it at A level too, it's not too complex, not too basic, but rather heavy to carry! |

| While I see little point in reviewing the book itself, it being undoubtably one of the pillars of both 20th century thought and culture, a seismic shock which decimated the academic psychology of its time and sent ripples through every sector of society, touching each and every one of us whether we requested it or not; modern advertising, essentially being initiated by Freud's nephew, being a case in point here.

| As an A Level psychology student using both the AS and A2 versions, i feel that i am eligible to comment.
There are so many other text books out there that would better equip studets with the knowledge needed to pass exams. Fair enough, the descriptions of subtopics are thorough. However, the commentary (evaluation) boxes, rather pretentiously, go all around the houses, and do not explain evaluative points concisively. | It did!! I always knew deep down I was worth so much more than working in a large office environment and receiving no respect or recognition. I borrowed this book, rather ironically, from my employers "training library" read it on holiday, came back, and within 2 months had found the courage to hand in my notice with no idea of what I was going to do next. Best thing I ever did! 2 years on, I run two successful businesses and am very very very much happier. I would recommend you buy this and read it with an open mind, and be brave!! |

| I found O'Connor & Lages's style to be useful and straightforward, with a continuous emphasis on practice. Very helpful for someone familiar with NLP and keen to use it in coaching. Regular reminders to avoid psychoanalysing clients and just helping them get on with their agenda proved very useful to me. Very useful book. |
