| I was recommended this book when pregnant by someone I sat next to on a plane. She told me her son slept through the night quite early on and that she now buys this book as a gift whenever one of her friends is pregnant. I now feel the same. | I thought this book was going to brillant - full of humor and wonderful advice. The only good bit of advice was "drink lots of wine". To be totally honest this book made me cry into my wine, it made me so unhappy and resentful, maybe her husband wouldn't help her up if her step-kid tripped her over in the street but my boyfriend definately would! Don't judge it all by one woman's advice! If you're struggling with the whole step-kids / ex wife thing talk to your partner about it and admit you're struggling ... Read More: |

| Bought this with the best intentions, but am reviewing it on the basis that I didn't get much beyond chapter 2 .. Might be a fabulous book, but honestly if you have the time and energy to get through this and start a learning program when you have a baby a couple of months old you're a better parent than I am.

| I got this out of the library and would not buy it. It has some nice ideas, but only a few were really exciting. And I just didn't like its tone - very safety first, the toddlers busy book for instance has a much better range of really fun ideas |
