| I would say this book is essential reading for anyone over the age of 30. This book doesn't contain as many exercises and things to do as the first one, but has many more examples to help us see how our thoughts are creating our lives. I wasn't quite sure what the focus of a book called All About Us would be, but I was interested in finding out. | It's odd to start a positive review with a negative comment. But I will anyway. This book may be difficult to swallow because it focusses heavily on religious dogma (which inevitably invites criticism and rejection from people who do not believe - and I am one of them, so I had to try to see beyond this) and some of the ideas and statements seem extreme at first glance.

| No book on first reading has ever hit me with the force of this one.
Some of the content I don't buy: the focus on madness as a positive journey and the de-emphasis on inborn factors that may lead to "schizophrenia". But as an example of compelling writing, of a writer putting his heart into his work, I don't know of any rival to this book. But there's a lot more than writing style here.
