| When we were given this book on our essential reading list I thought man, that book's expensive, I have another physiology book do I really need it. Well it's worth every penny! You know how it is you buy some books and they look good on the shelf and gather dust, not this one, it was so useful as a quick reference and for sheading light on topics I was clueless about.
It has handy tables for quick cramming moments and good diagrams. The student online info is very good also ... Read More: |

| The previous issues have ben excellent and this is by far the best on the maket now. It is obviously suitable for undergraduate immunology modules but I have also found it to be excellent as a resource for HND/HNC type courses and for the background information for MSc students. The integrated CDROM is excellent although I had a bit of bother getting the movies to work directly (had to go through the book menu, rather than just clicking on a movie). Good quality graphics and slide presentations.

| This is an amazing textbook which I used for both my neuroscience and mind modules for my medicine course. It starts so simply that you can follow it with just an A-level knowledge of biology as even things like action potentials are explained to you. It then goes much deeper over a broad variety of topics but continues explaining things clearly and simply.

| This is an absolutely superb dictionary and it's 'colour' element really helps with finding entries and makes it all a little more interesting! Headings are all written in red with descriptions in black and there are a few illustrations - but only where necessary. Incidentally the 'hardback' is actually a soft, tactile, plastic which makes it lighter and somehow much more pleasing to hold! Would recommend this dictionary! |

| I read about Erickson as the pioneer of NLP, and his work in hypnosis and psychotherapy and was intrigued. This book is a great introduction to Erickson. His style of communication which involves the use of skilfully vague language patterns, rapport skills, and conversational hypnosis techniques, forms the basis of the Milton Model in NLP.
