| I bought this book as I am studying complimentary therapies and anatomy and physiology is a big component. My intention was for it to be as an extra study aid but I think that I would have preferred something that offered a little more.
The book is okay and does what it says. If you are studying the muscular system and you need to know a large amount of inofrmation, look for something else. |

| This is the second time I have bought this book. I lent it to a friend and never got it back. I have found it invaluable for my MSc and my friend found it a great help for her BSc (obviously!). I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to be able to critically appraise medical literature. |

| As the title suggests, it starts with the basic principles of pathology and then goes through each system, covering enough detail without being too overbearing. There are loads of good quality colour photos, with the compulsory gory allocation a pathology book has to have! The text not only covers pathological details but relevant physiology, aetiology and clinical features. It's useful throughout medical school life and is definitely one to recommend. Overall, a worthwhile investment! |

| This book has been used by ambulance staff for the past 20 years and is still a fine beginers book to anatomy and some physiology. Probably the Foundation Degree and BSc Paramedic would probably prefer a little more depth. Typical A&P books that are used by paramedics would be Totora, McHance, Matteli, and others. |

| I have just finished by 1st year BSc Human biology and found this book very useful.... Great for general physiology themes as well as sports physiology. I even used it for information on a bomb calorimetry report!
Really useful information at the end of each chapter with detailed referencing and CD rom guide with reference lists you can print.... therefore great for searching original sources. I cannot imagine you would be dissapointed with this purchase. It's an investment! |
