| From my own perspective, even a long and personal acquaintance with a rather 'retiring' Garner Thomson is effective in revealing only a little of the professional skill and depth of personal experience which is revealed in this book.
It is a compelling piece of writing and, whilst being faultless in its' accuracy and presentation, it is extremely accessible to all - from someone who knows little to one who has a good and sound working knowledge of the subject. | There's no doubt that this very good solution to improve your knowledge in histology. The text is simple, clear and doesn't go too much in details. The pictures are amazingly clear but at many places there coud have been better labels. This book presumes, especially in later chapters, that you know the previous stuff well, so many things that are mentioned in text are not indicated in pictures and you have to find them yourself. |

| This book is an amazing overview of the function of the liver, the symptoms of a bad liver and how a diet can help you to improve your liver function.
Reading it answered many questions i had about why i had been feeling certain ways throughout my life. I didnt really know what the liver did before i read this but you soon find out it is essential to look after it. There are many reasons to read this book, not just losing weight, i recommend it to anyone interested in their own well being. |

| This book is an excellent introduction to an interesting but difficult subject. Filled with diagrams and colour dissection pictures I would highly recommend it as an accompaniment to a medical course in Neuroanatomy. At times the sentence structure could be clearer, but overall a very good investment for medics in their early career. |
