I read this book for the first time in 1990 and it changed my life. I was one of those young people too focused on their problems (mainly: unrequited love, perhaps the biggest tragedy of them all at that age) to look at how many blessings they have, how many reasons to rejoice, at what a beautiful gift every day is. As an Image professional I have always loved Gok since he jumped on to our TV screens a couple of years ago. He epitomises what we, as professionals, should be doing with our clients. | I found this book really useful to help me fully understand psychodynamic theroy. I am on a counselling course (counselling studies) and I found the simple laungage used in this book was great for revision and for quoting in essays.
Its not a British edition and it does refer greatly to various American organisations but as the USA is the leader in all things psychological its not a bad thing. Unlike American cookery books which can make me cry with frustration! What is all purpose flour and why can't we ... Read More: |

| I really didn't like the style this book was written in. It's evangelical, repetitive and irritatingly patronising. I also hated everything being described as juicy all the time - I know it's a juice book but it got on my nerves after the tenth page. The author markets his other products in the book - the marketing is excellent and you have a huge range of products and media to choose from if you feel you need it. Personally the book was enough for me.

| This book is fab. I cook for twins who are 19 months old so I adapt the receipes to suit them. I think the recipes are very yummy, and my kids think so too. The aloha Kebabs are delicious - i cook extra for myself always. The children's favorite is the Avecado spread on their bread.

| I picked up this book second-hand in a charity shop last week and was a bit sceptical because this is obviously a book which was written many years ago. However as soon as I started reading it, like other reviewers here, I found immediate comfort and an accurate description of my symptoms and the causes of the physical sensations. My own GP has been totally unhelpful and I feel like taking a copy of this book into his surgery and urging him to recommend it to others.
