| I really loved this book. I have since bought it for all my friends that have become pregnant and they too have read it avidly. It is a heartwarming book that gives an honest description of the ups and downs of pregnancy. I would reccomend it to any pregnant woman!!! |

| I ordered this book when i reached breaking point. Unlike other self-help books it wasn't too Americanized and gave plenty of examples of men and women who couldn't cope due to family disputes and manipulation.
This book gave me the courage to face up to my difficult mother and deal with other painful memories. I also saw a therapist so the two things meant i could move on and start living MY life. Hurrah. A great book. |

| This book is a good read and is very funny in parts. I also don't doubt that it is an accurate portrayal of things as they were, presumably somewhat "hyped up" given that he is selling a book.
My main problem is his view of pregnancy and labour was fearful and somewhat cynical. I'd hate men to think they can't do better and that this is the best they can hope to achieve. |

| I am currently supporting a 14 year old boy at the school i teach at. He's in my tutor/form group and he's got a bad reputation. But recently he asked me for help in dealing ith his anger. So i searched good old Amazon and found this book! I have read lots of theory on this issue but nothing beats this book for putting it into language that kids can understand and practical ideas that they can relate to. | I really liked the central concept of the book, that is you should love your child unconditionally, success or failure, naughty or good, and that the child should know that they are loved unconditionally so that they can grow up secure. However I was very disappointed with the actual substance about the nitty gritty daily life and how you manage things.
