| I've just bought this book in the hope it'll help me get rid of my sciatica - or at least help me control the pain in some way.
While the book it very informative, (I feel) it's also very hard to read. The more I read, the more confused I'm getting trying to diagnose the source which is causing my nerve to irritate. It's not the best laid out back either. |

| I was shocked to see that most recipes use Soy Milk/tofu which is proven to be very unhealthy, as soy is only good when it's fermented! Beside that, it also uses a lot of Margarine, which is also proven unhealthy and canola oil. :(

| I bought Rick Gallop's GI Diet Green-Light Cookbook because I am following a low GI/low carb diet. I was looking for more options so that I had flexibility with menu planning. The recipes look lovely and I have tried the Strawberry Tea Bread which is really good.

| Did I really need another book on nutrition? Probably not. But now I have this one I probably won't look at the others again. Not that "Food For Fitness" contains any ground-breaking information, but it's the best common-sense summary I've come across of the latest findings on healthy eating for active people. If you're browsing for just one book on the subject, look no further. What's more, "Food For Fitness" is so clearly written and beautifully presented that it's a pleasure just to turn the pages. | A classic. It is possible to teach yourself yoga using this book. I've seen it done. Having started with Iyengar's yoga before exploring the more contemporary, fluid creative styles of yoga available to us in the west, I highly recommend this path... his teachings, his teachers and this book. | I bought this book several years ago (when it was first published) and I have to say I use it every single week, multiple times a week. My families favourite recipes are out of this cookbook and my husband doesn't even know he's eating "diet" food. The Orange-crumbed chicken is fabulous. Together, my husband and I have lost over 50 lbs and are still working on losing more. We can do it long term only with cookbooks like this. 1) It doesn't assume any previous cooking knowledge, doesn't use jargon and gives very clear instructions. 2) most of ingredients are easy to get or you may even have them in your cupboards already. 3) includes information on time required to make a given dish, number of servings and how difficult it is to make. 4) recipies are very easy locate in the book. they are grouped into chapters with a "theme", eg. oriental, italian and so on. you can also find vegetarian ways of making ...
