As mentioned previously it can be a bit troublesome getting to the "Nitty Gritty" in this book, but the wealth of information is very informative and I'm glad I forced my way through it.

I was only able to do this diet for 3 weeks, but the results in 3 weeks was totally mind-blowing. I used to feel ashamed looking in the mirror, but after about a week or so I couldn't pull myself away, the results are unbelievable.

This book is great for the novice barfer. It is easy to follow and certainly convinced me of the need to move over to this diet. My puppy looks great on his meat, veg and bones and rarely misses a meal. I really would recommend lots of reading with barf but certainly get this book first as it will give you a sound basis from which to start from.

Beware. Not everyone on a low carb diet will find these recipes particularly low carb. There are many that include onions and flour (both have a very high GI). But in it's favour there are no Americanisms in sight, and at least the dishes taste wonderful!

While I think your blood type should be considered, I also truly believe there can still be great differences between people with same blood type. i think you have to trust your own instincts about which foods agree with you and which ones don't... For example. A's are told red wine is good, but for me, red wine almost always gives me heartburn/acid reflux. It also says eggs and egg based products like mayonaisse and ranch are good but eggs almost always make me nauseated.

This is an excellent diet plan, and really does work. I have just started it myself and lost 3 kg in the first week, with minimal modifications to my lifestyle.

What I really like about this diet is that for the first 2 weeks my wife is cooking bacon & eggs for me for breakfast each day, and I am losing weight while eating this! Great salads for lunch, stir-fry or salad for tea. Very tasty food even in the first phase.
