| I'm sorry to say I found this book a real disappointment. I forced myself to read it, expecting it to be full of great confidence-boosting advice but to be honest, it bored me. Admittedly Brian Roet has written in plain laymans terms, which means you don't have to have a psychology degree to understand what he's talking about, but I didn't find any inspiring statements or have moments of revelations as I have done with other self-help books. | This book is stunningly thought-provoking; Do not at all hesitate to read it. The science was presented neatly, in some parts reaches the poetic (this may be due the skill of translator more than anything) and the subject matter is easily understood while not being given patronisingly. A much recommended read. |

I am biased having had MBT treatment and having moved on in my life yet still stuck in many areas which they do talk about in the practical guide. Currently I am woking as a service user consultant deivering PD training locally with a generic clinical team who have done the three day MBT training-I have to say that it makes a remarkable difference.
