| 'This Is Your Brain On Music' looks at the neuroscience behind listening to and performing music. Although I've read many popular science books and am familiar with the style of writing, I found this to be quite a hard going book at first. The first couple of chapters look at the structure of music and are quite dry to plow though. | I'm not in marketing, but I found this book both fascinating and revealing. We were actually presented with a copy each on a "Communicating with Passion" course I went on, because it is so helpful in understanding human behaviour.
Not only does it allow the salesman/marketer to understand techniques on how to get people to do what you want, it also allows you, the "victim" to understand ways in which a salesman is trying to influence YOU, and this is what makes it such as good book. I can now spot ... Read More: |

Together with Ken Wilber, Spiral Dynamics shows a way to reconcile a whole range of issues in society, management and psychology. | I am sorry, I really do not understand the other reviews for this book. This is the original book on Time Line Therapy, but, I am afraid, I do not like it at all. The Time Line Therapy scripts are out of date, and I find the stuff on meta-programs and values immensely tedious. There is much better coverage of all this elsewhere. This is one of the worst (of many) NLP books I have read. |

| I first encountered Myers-Briggs 15 years ago via managament training (age 21) and "Individual Excellence" by Ralph Lewis and Phil Lowe.
