| As a make-up student, I found this book really helpful. The information provided on the tools, skin types, cleansing, toning etc were very practical and easy to follow.
The book also has little 'nuggets of wisdom' known as trade secrets. I hope everyone finds this book as useful as I did. |

| Look at the posture of the girls in some of these pictures, not to mention the look on their faces when their modeling. No wonder it looks bad.
The earring pic for a short neck. The lady is holding her head down and all of a sudden she is holding it up high to show the earring makes her neck look longer. Looking great has a lot to do with fabric, style, color. Models with different body types would have been better examples. |

| I found this book really good. It's the make up Bible for all women who want to feel and look good. Theres noting more that could be added to it. It goes through each part of your face and gives you great tips on which makeup would be best for your skin type and occasion. It also gives you information on which make up would compliment a certain part of your face. I would recommend it to anyone. I certainly give it two thumbs up! |

| There is not really much that can be said about this book due to it's simplicity - pretty much all of the photos are extreme closeups of (for example) a collar or a jacket front and whilst it is amazing to be able to see the workmanship that was put into the garments and the sumptuous colours reproduced so wonderfully I can't help but agree with another reviewer that it does all make your eyes ache after a while and it would be nice to have a distance photo of each garment to put the details into context, ... | A wide cross section of ages and ethnic types used as models but unfortunately there is some very heavy-handed photoshop retouching in the 'after' pictures. Also the artist is very keen on contouring which is only really useful for softbox photography and not everyday makeup.
A very limited range of colours and shading techniques used. USeful if you are going to have your portrait taken and will be doing your own makeup. Or if you are a fashion model who also does her own makeup. |

| If I could give this book a zero star, I certainly would. I cannot believe that Amazon are still selling it. I am a professional hair and makeup artist and this book is absolute rubbish! The models used are poor and the end result would put anyone off thinking about a career in makeup. I was so disappointed! The price is not cheap either.
The Asian bridal look was absolutely, absolutely terrible, if I got any bride looking like that they would sue me! In fact, I wouldn't let a bride out looking ... Read More: |
