| I have two major criticisms of this book, only one of which can really be leveled directly at John Boyne: his writing sucks, and needed another couple of drafts.
It's great that Boyne has written a book for children which is designed to make its audience engage with the world (a la His Dark Materials; in sharp contrast to Harry Potter), but (and here's the second criticism, not something that is directly Boyne's fault) the subject matter is really not as edgy as most people pretend it ... | I am a mature student and was advised to buy this when I started my Access to HE course many years ago. I dutifully went and bought it alongside The Good Study Guide by Andrew Northedge and I have to say that this book is worth its weight in gold compared to the book by Northedge. This is not a comparison so I shall move on to say that every aspect of study - whether its organizing your time, planning backwards from deadlines, learning how you study best or even looking at personal development is covered in this ... | As the title suggests, I have a few of these books & whilst they are good, there is something missing from them which I couldn't quite put my finger on until now, but more on that later.
101 One Pot Dishes seems to be a good book, I have made the prawn pilau twice now & it has been an enjoyable dish, & there is likely to be other recipes I will be using as well. So far so good, yes? | A great book about medicine, and to a lesser extent science. Lots of stuff about statistics and evidence-based medicine, clearly explained. Goldacre is just brilliant - witty, charming, sensible. Buy this, read it, give it to your friends who take homeopathic remedies for non-existent conditions. Give it your friends who work for drug companies too. Above all, give it to anyone who works in the media, in the hope that they might acquire a modicum of scientific literacy. |

| I really enjoyed this, my oldest boy 16 loved it, my youngest boy 12 thought it was a bit scary at times, and likes to sleep with his light on now. However they both agreed they enjoyed it and would read more of Twilight. Great for teens, but maybe the younger children should read Jason Steed, Alex Rider books. |

| Read this book and you will not be sorry!
I have read both Hosseini's books and I will not pick a favourite. They are equally VERY good. Type of books you cant stop reading and will cherish in your bookshelf... Both books relate to us what is to be a human! Flaud, sacrifices and mistakes we all make and have to live with. I cant wait for his 3rd book. |

| People who read this book for a detailed theology of the Christian faith are misleading themselves much like those who want the Bible to be a text book of theoretical physics or similar. A work of fiction will never do this and, as this book reminds us, the Bible is in essence about a relationship between people and God. Sure there are bits that are a bit shmaltzy for us cynical Brits but it still moved me more than most books I have read. |

| This book is absolutely, amazingly superb. It was so captivating and moving. I picked it up as I wanted something to read on my train ride home from uni. This book is a great read, an excellent piece of work and i would read it over and over again. I recommend this book to everyone. |

| There are some writers who just create seamless prose that reads like it's always been there on the page and they just traced over the words. Well, for me, this was one of those books. I loved it from beginning to end. It tells the story of Lev, an "economic migrant" from the East, and his search for work, and life. It is probably a little too rose tinted to be real, and I doubt there are many migrants so lucky as Lev, but I so wanted him to succeed. |

| Unlike the other reviewers, I thought that Eclipse was the best in the series so far. (It is the third in a set of four). The love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob was so sad and frustrating because we all know that she made the foolish choice in the end but the chemistry between her and her "choice" was so electric, you cant condemn her for it.
