Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great fun and definitely worth buying
Having been a big fan and player of Battlefield 2, there was simply no hesitation in buying Bad Company. And I wasn't disappointed. For once Battlefield have created a good single player environment with its own storyline which also helps you get to grips with the controls with everything playable in the game. The single player campaign is not particularly long and I think I completed it in a couple of days, but its still great fun and I wasn't disappointed since Battlefield always was a multiplayer game.

And as for the multiplayer, well I haven't stopped playing it since I bought the game, which is saying something since I can get bored with some games very quickly. The choices of player/weapons is pretty much the same as BF2: Recon, Specialist, Support, Demolition, and Assault. You start off with very basic weapons but once you start ranking up (which thankfully is a lot faster than BF2) you have the option of unlocking better weapons. The vehicles are again fairly similar to BF2 - Tank, APC, hummers, buggies, helicopter - with the one exception of not having fixed wing aircraft. Some maps are fairly big, with some quite small, but its still bigger than most of the maps in COD4, which means you can actually flank your enemy instead of running straight into him as you seem to do in COD.

If there was one negative aspect of the game, it is the lack of game types you can play. There is only one game type where you are either attacking or defending gold crates from your enemy. No longer is there a capture the flag type of game which BF2 was all about. I suppose you could say the good thing about the attacking/defending gold crates game is that everyone is forced into attacking one area at a time, which can make the game pretty intense at times.

So all in all, this game is definitely worth the purchase, mostly because its great fun to play. Please don't listen to these people calling it 'the worst game they've ever played'. That is simply a load of rubbish. The type of people that call it crap are the type that get annoyed because you can't just chuck grenades everywhere and hope that you kill someone. The maps are too big for that. They are also the type that are too stupid to understand the concept of flanking. Contrary to what these people say about BF, you can't just jump into a tank and blast all round you. The fact that snipers now have laser designators means that it is now quite easy to destroy tanks.

Trust me, if you like shooters, you'll like this.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Xbox Live Game! Buy It Now!!!! Better Than Call Of Duty!!!
IF YOU HAVE XBOX LIVE, BUY THIS GAME NOW. WHILE I WAS A FAN OF CALL OF DUTY, I ALWAYS FOUND THE MULTIPLAYER VERY PREDICTABLE, I.E RUN AROUND FOR A BIT, KILL SOME ONE, GET KILLED THREE TIMES IN A ROW, THEN START AGAIN.
NOT SO WITH BATTLEFIELD BAD COMPANY!
UNLIKE CALL OF DUTY, BAD COMPANY IS BASED AROUND TEAM PLAY. THE TEAM WITH THE BEST TACTICS WINS.
IF YOU LIKE WAR GAMES, AND WANT SOMETHING TACTICAL, BUY THIS GAME OVER ANY OTHER SHOOTER. I WILL NEVER PLAY GHOST RECON ONLINE AGAIN.
BUY IT!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fantastic
I have read some bizzare reviews of this game, including ones where they complain about grainy graphics ? I played it on a 40" Samsung LCD TV and the graphics blew me away. It looks fantastic and gives real immersion factor. The vistas are almost photo realistic at times. Being able to blow builings up is great fun and never gets tired.
In places it would be impossible without your health injector that means if you take care you never die. But I don't like to be frustrtaed by my games with constant deaths so I really like this feature.
The sound is awesome throughout, the weapons varied and excellent to use. The vehicles massive fun and the specialist items such as precision airstrikes and mortar strikes are brilliantly executed. The controls are excellent very smooth and intuitive, the game is just brilliant fun throughout.
Your fellow soldiers are at times hilarious, I loved the storyline, loved some of the epic battles, loved the fear I felt whilst being chased across a golf course by a tank wondering how I was going to kill it, until I remembered my airstrike tool.
This is my favourite xbox game yet, liked it more than COD4, Gears of War, etc and I haven't even been online with it yet.

In some reviews I've read people complain that they can only blow parts of buildings up, well one day when the technology is there full devastation may be possible. Some say the story is lame, what? its a videogame not an oscar contender. Finally the demo doesn't really do the game justice, it's far far better than even the demo which I thought was good.
I loved it, and if your a fan of shooters I think you will to.
How many games where you have a flying sequence allow you to land your heli anywhere and get out and continue the fight on foot ? Not many I'd wager.
Loved it loved it loved it, reallly hope there is a sequel or at least some other games using the fantastic game engine.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Great War Game. A+
This game is fantastic, after playing COD 4 for so long and nearly wearing the disc out this game took a little while to get used to but it was no big deal. The destructive element in the game is a real plus and lots of fun, you can blow the roof off a building or just a section of it, blow holes in walls ect. the campaign is generally good but what astounded me was the quality of the online graphics, they are fantastic and you will have fun, choppers, jeeps, Tanks, light tanks, field artillery gun, gun boats to say a few are great and handle fantastic and you can even carry your team mates in them. This game is better than Cod 5 online that is a fact. You will have once you have got used to the game find it great fun. but for me the online is great. The battlefield has space all told good for sniping, machine gunning ect whatever you like.
