Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - CRYSIS EA GAMES
THIS IS SOMETHING I LOOKED AT FOR YEARS TO RELEASE, AND THEN WHAT DID I GET BACK IN RETURN AN UPLOAD OF THE CRYSIS WARHEAD. LOOK FOR MITTEENS JUST MAKE LIKE A TREE......

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Yes...No?? I dont know!
Ok, so this game is amazingly great when it comes to its looks. The graphics are the best!!!!!!!!...When at high or ultra high settings ¬¬, and in order to do that you need to raid the savings and spend minimum £750 if u want this game to look like what it does on the back of the box. I can only run this game at all high, with shadows medium and no anit-aliasing @ 1680 res. Its ok but its not top quality settings and really if ure only gonna play at those settings just get cod 4, which runs on anything practically. My specs,

AMD x2 5000+ 2.60GHZ
Radeon 4870 1gb (was a 8600gts, had to upgrade if i wanted to play crysis for its full £40 worth)
4gb ram

do ok with this game but even at high this games playable but i still dont get fantastic frames. I dont like EA, buttt i think they just did ok with this one. The storyline isnt anything to get hyper over and also there is a steep learning curve to this game.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The only game ive played that YOU and not the game are in control.
Crysis with its simply stunning graphics especially at its highest settings is a game whereby you dictate the action.

If you donot want to confront the enemy you can avoid them almost indefinately which i know goes against the spirit of the game but once you know what is actually coming up from level to level and village and outpost it is totally up to you where and what you do.

I cannot think of many games whereby you can go where you want and do what you want. You can even retrace your steps right back to the begining which to my knowledge is unique in any first person game other than its sister game Crysis Warhead.

As i have said this game is about graphics and processor capability.
The North Koreans move like real people, die like real people and even bleed like real people.

The action when it gets intense at the village where the first hostage is to be found can be relentless. You have to learn what room to enter to retreave the Rocket launchers. You have to think what weapons to discard or keep and above all you have to think tactics.

Shall i use the boats or vehicles to get around this island or to approach stongholds.

Once you know how and what happens at each stage you can think what to do.

The end result i know will be the same DESTRUCTION of the alien beings and saving of mankind but CRYSIS with its to die for visuals and sound effects is and will remain the most polished computer action game there is.

Playing it in Vista with its reliance on Direct X10 graphics technology brigs a further dimension to the game.Underwater action is extreamly realistic with little fish swimming by.

The longer you play the game the more you realise what a magnificent achievement it is.You can go where you want and do what you want to achieve your end goal.

BRILLIANT ACTION WITH COLOURFULL LANGUAGE TO MATCH.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I can't put it any other way - Superb!
Now if your thinking of buying this game and you're currently looking through reviews the one question you have to ask yourself is will your computer cope. I know originally I tried playing the demo on an old rig of mine and I had an interesting experience where all I could see was character eyeballs. Now after that I didn't take my time to write a review on how I can't believe the top visually stunning FPS to date wouldn't work on my mediocre PC. I simply accepted the fact and a few months down the line (ignoring the large hole in my pocket) I bought the game having completely renovated my PC. I'm using an 8800 and I can say with distinction the game runs like a dream.
So let's be fair, make sure you can run it before you buy. I suggest you get on the website and download the demo (it's easy to find).

That all being said and you having played through the demo without flaw - Why are you still here? Buy the game already and stop wasting your time when clearly one of the best FPS around is collecting dust in a warehouse when it should be gracing your monitor with its stunning visuals.

That being said I will choose to lay down some, what I would consider relatively worthwhile points that perhaps have not been repeated enough times already.
I will not in any detail comment on the aspects of the campaign because I think that's just about all covered in other reviews. I will say however I am now on my fourth run through of the campaign. So yes it's that good.
It is in no way a short single player; it spectacularly manages to continue on at points when you were sure it had finished and perhaps where other games plots would have lost the courage. Anyone who claims its short has simply lost all sense of time probably because they enjoyed it too much.
It's a shame there's a degree of negative feedback coming from some diehard FarCry fans. In response, ok, so it's not as open ended or non-linear as FarCry was on specific levels but then few games are. I think its key to point out that any game that wishes to have a gripping storyline (and Crysis has just that) some freedom has to be sacrificed. It's also relevant to point out that FarCry had a (excuse my French) pants storyline and a game that was originally great, in the closing levels... sucked.

But enough about that - get the game - it's amazing. 5 star!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Too much power not enough reasons to buy.
If you cant play a game in all its glory then its not worth any more than 1 star. This does require a powerhouse of a pc but for the power to graphics ratio it doesnt look all that amazing.
