Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hilarious!
I am a fan of the TV show, seen them all, so when I saw this in the sale had to give it a try. Some of the stuff in this is so outrageous that I am a little suprised it made it on DVD, but I am glad it did. Some of the stuff on this had me crying with laughter. A must purchase (unless you are easily offended!)

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Rapid fire jokes
This is British stand up at it's best on TV. It's very similar to "Whose line is it anyway?", not surprising since Dan Patterson created both of them, but this is more spoken comedy and is topical. Most of the jokes are funny, if you catch them. Be warned if you're not British or aware of British politics some of the jokes will go over your head as they make jokes of the leader of the Liberal Democrat party. The best bits were "bad things to say ...", eg things you never hear announced over the tannoy.

My biggest disappointment is that there are no subtitles, which means when the comedians are going at full pelt it's difficult to hear what was said (hence the 3 stars). Several times, I had to rewind to try to get the jokes. In this day and age, there should be no reason not to include a subtitle track, especially as one was included on the original broadcast.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - How Does The BBC Do It?
The BBC will always be known in England for its topical comedy panel shows. Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI and Have I Got News For You are but a few great comedy panel shows. When Mock The Week first came along I didn't have any sort of scepticism relating to it as I knew that with Dara O'Briain at the helm and Frankie Boyle on the panel it was bound to be hysterical. It was not only hysterical but pants wetting controversy as when you give Frankie Boyle a platform, you're bound to be offended somehow. He's the ultimate king of offensive comedy and although he touches on things like race and sexuality, he does it in a way that to some would be considered racist or homophobic but those people still laugh their heads off.

For those not entirely familiar then think Whos Line is it Anyway? crossed with Have I Got News For You. It takes improv comedy and mixes it with that weeks hot news topics, generally political though. If you've seen the show on BBC TV then you know that they allow a lot of full on jokes to make it to TV, so I'm promising the DVD will be that more offensive.

Great show and a worth it DVD.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - HORRIBLE
It's just a group of annoying "comedians" reading from a script(not a good one at that). yawn-o-rama.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Mock the Weak
When you think that Mock The Week is currently airing it's 6th series on BBC 2. It seems a bit of a cheek to release a DVD which has 3 episodes in full.

Apart from that it is a fantastic show, the best comedy panel show on TV I have ever seen to be honest. A mixture of Have I Got News For You and Whose Line Is It Anyway? a brilliant show.

The show is repeated fairly fequently on Dave, so if you want to check it out, look there.
