I am one of those people that always go by others recommendations on Amazon then end up not writing a review. These speakers are so good i felt i should rectify that. I bought these speakers last year to replace my previous Logitech speakers where the sub had failed. These speakers are absolutely brilliant. They have amazing crisp defined sound from the desktop speakers and deep yet controlled bass from the sub. I mainly use them for itunes playback but have watched a couple of dvd's and the sound reproduction is also brilliant. If you havent ever used a 2.1 speaker system for your pc then you should buy this set up. You will never go back to those nasty tinny destop yogurt pots !
In a nutshell, i more than highly recommend these speakers to all.

Yes, if your one of those people who are pondering over what speakers to get because you current ones are kind of dated and you have a fairly working class budget with the need for somthing that looks and perfoms like something much more expensive than the actual product you want (mild chav syndrome) then this is definatly the product for you.
The two speakers look a lot better then in that image, it says they are white and black but mine are silver and black which was a pleasant suprise. Their metal bases add weight to them and remove the cheap and tacky feeling of plastic speakers. The sub was a little large for my desk but i dont care and have it there anyway. The 'remote' control is very usefull, putting the volume, bass and power controls in the same place. The only thing i don't like so far is the intensity of the grease marks that appear on the dials when you use them, the cool looking shiny black surface does not hide them well! (but maybe thats just a problem associated with the onset of my obesity)
But all in all they are a very good product, the sound quality is swell, especially for my fave bands such as The Verve, Kasibien and Sigur Ros. My onyl advice i can give you is to BUY THESE NOW! Before its too late!

I opened the box, eagerly pulled everything out and took the Styrofoam sleeves off each of the items. The two speakers and control unit faced me and I was blown away. The speakers and control unit were absolutely stunning, each housed in a sleek silver skirting and very glossy plastic fascia. These really have to be seen to be appreciated. The speaker stands are solid and made of metal so the speakers are perfectly weighted down. The stands can be detached using a Philips head screwdriver in order to mount on a wall, which they do perfectly on a wide head nail. The subwoofer was more subtly styled but still matched the speakers with its silver and black colour scheme. The volume knob is very smooth to turn, and you can tell when using it that this system is something special and not cheap. The bass knob snaps to its centre position.
I plugged everything in which was so simple, took absolutely no time at all and powered on. The first thing I noticed was that other than the subwoofer making a slight punch, there is no irritating 'cracking' sound when you turn these on, even when the volume is turned up full. This brings me very nicely onto the sound quality of these speakers. Wow, what can I say? These speakers really are too good to express in words, ultra high clarity and don't buzz, even when turned really high. The bass is out of this world too, so clear, punchy and crisp, you can really feel every beat crisply, and every bass tone truly.
An added bonus for me was that the control unit comes with an auxiliary in jack so I can plug my iPhone/Xbox 360 into the control module in order to play them through the speakers.
I really can not fault this system at all. The price is excellent, these are a very worthwhile purchase, you will not be disappointed!
