I buy electronic gadgets for what I need them to do, rather than what they can do. I have owned this PDA for some months now and am very happy with it. I use it on a daily basis as I have an appointment based position in a health setting. A couple of times the unit would not switch on, but pressing the reset solved the problem without loosing any data.

My main use is the calendar, which does everything I need it to do including daily, weekly and monthly repeats. The ability to tag a 'note' to an appointment is very useful.

I understand from others that this is a basic PDA, but it is certainly fit for my purpose.

I have been tempted to upgrade to a different PDA, but really have no reason to do this as this one does the job.

I have had this little baby for 3 years. It is a simple, reliable and compact no frills electronic diary. The battery still lasts for weeks between charges and I have had non of the crashing problems experienced by others - nothing that isn't fixed by pressing reset. The Z22 has taken a good bashing in my pocket and outlasted 2 mobile phones! Well worth the money.

Rating: - Palm Z22
I had an old electronic organiser for 12 years and needed to replace it. I couldn't find a similar one so opted for the Palm Z22. It is excellent - easy to use, lots of features and after only a week I would be lost without it. Glad I bought a leather case to go with it otherwise I am sure I would have scratched/damaged the screen. Also, excellent delivery service from Amazon.

Rating: - Does absolutely everything I need it to
I've had this device for a few weeks now and have only just started reading the manual. It really is extremely easy to get up and running with this. I bought it as replacement for my aging Sharp organiser with keyboard, and was worried that having to use a stylus was going to be much slower and more fiddly. But it's fine - you get used to it really quickly and the space saved by not having the keyboard is fantastic.

There were a few things that I bemoaned not having - mainly preferences and settings - which I accepted because of the price and size. And then I read the manual - and this opened up another new world with this little gem! You can tweak nearly everything - you can tailor things to remind you in exactly the way you want to be reminded, how you are reminded, how you enter data, how you view data - the only disadvantage I can see with this thing is that you can easily start to let it run your life! But for busy people, that's exactly what you want, and this it does extremely well.

The icing on the cake is the synchronisation between PC and organiser. Plug it in to a USB port (it charges at the same time - you won't need the included power supply) and click Hot-sync. 20 seconds later - done! All items from the Z22 now on the PC and all items from the PC now on the Z22. And the PC application which goes with this is in itself a great piece of well-thought out software which complements the Z22 perfectly. And it runs perfectly under Vista!

If, like me, you just want a nice compact, light organiser which doesn't pull your pockets out of shape, is cheap and can be carried anywhere - get this. If you want something which does everything - phone, email, internet etc - it won't suit you.

Rating: - Don't buy it
My Z22 has broken down twice since I was given it in September 2007. Two months after I had it and now December 2008. It was covered by the warranty in 2007, but not now. They have told me it will cost £74 to repair it!! So it is going in the bin!!
