Rating: - Works well but my kittens not that interested
I bought this because I have a kitten prone to FLUTD who doesn't drink enough. We initially had problems getting even flow over the dome, but after purchasing the splash mat and placing the fountain on a more even surface, we got it running pretty much evenly. Sometimes the screw-in handle on the top needs to be gently tightened after refilling or turning the filter off in order to get the water flowing evenly again.

It was very easy to set up, so no problems there. Refilling can be a bit drippy, but not really a problem.

The only reason I don't give this five stars is because my cats are not all that interested in it. They come over and give it a lick now and then, but I had hoped they would be as excited as some of the other reveiwers' cats. My kittens are too easily distracted, I think.

However, it's quite quiet, looks attractive and is easy to refill and clean, so if you're after a cat fountain, this is a good one.

Rating: - Very noisey and much larger than expected
This product although very pretty is quite large so beware if you don't have much space. Mostly though it's incredibly noisy and my cats weren't convinced by it at all.

Rating: - a lot of effort but does make cats seem to drink more
We too cannot get the water to flow over more than a fifth of the sphere, but our two kittens seem to really like it although they enjoy splashing the water about the kitchen just as much as drinking from it.
The seperate mat does look good with it but does collect dust quite quickly. Overall it's okay, you need to keep the water topped up or it does start to become slightly noisy.

Rating: - Well, I started out a sceptic...one more gadget?
We have a 15 year old cat with kidney failure, so water intake was a big issue. Our cats always seemed to prefer water puddles in the garden to the water bowl we were at pains to fill with fresh water every day. In desperation I decided to try a water fountain and, honestly, they really like it. We've put it on a timer device to cut its power use, so it comes on and off several times a day - and as far as I can see it has definitely attracted both our cats to drink more. True, it's a bit awkward to lift up and down once a week to clean everything and wash the filter, and the instructions could be better, but we feel it's been a worthwhile addition to the cats' environment. Getting the water to cascade over the whole dome is difficult - we've only managed 2/3rds so far - but this doesn't seem to matter to the cats.

Rating: - One cat fountain and paddling pool at your service
Well although I maybe going over old ground here, I really do think every penny I spent on this product was worth it. We brought it when our two kittens found out how to get up to the bathroom sink and decided that they wanted to join in, play in the water and drink from the taps. When it arrived it was set up straight away, they took to it immediately, it certainly encourages them to drink more, and they much prefer it to the normal water bowl we have in the hallway. It hasn't stopped them playing in the sink, so much, but at least it gives them something else to play in for a bit and can even give us five minutes peace while we clean our teeth. It also has the advantage of looking kind of cool.
