Logitech Z 2300 - PC multimedia speaker system - 200 Watt (Total)

I looked at the Z4's and these, and these won out, simply because I would have been left wondering... what if i'd spent a bit more... and after trying out a friends Z4's im so happy I went for these. They are loud enough to fill a house with music if you have regular house parties (Im a uni student and they happen alot!)

They have also been used to fill a lawn with music coming from a DJ's mixer when nothing else could be found and they did the job very well considering these are computer speakers! (note that they come with a female jack to phono cable which allows you to plug these into systems with phono outs such as TV's and DJ Decks!)

I love these speakers, the bass the produce is amazing, watching films with them is a great experience as is game playing (COD4, Unreal Tournament...)

Would recommend them to anyone who wants a bit more from their speakers than standard £40 sets.

Also they came quickly from Amazon well packaged, nothing damaged, and with subsequent travels to and from uni in no box, just loose in the car, they've proved solid enough to still be in once piece. Brilliant Buy.

Rating: - Neighbours - beware!
These speakers are more than enough for your average computer based multimedia experience. Gaming, DVD watching, MP3 - all that sounds fine. As a matter of fact you will have to go easy on the volume and bass regulation as your neighbours may be less than enthusiastic about your newest gadget.

Good stuff for a reasonable price. And speedy dispatch, thank you very much Amazon for saving my Xmass ;-)

Rating: - Great sound for the money
Was very impressed when I plugged these into my TV. I recently bought a new 40" Sony Bravia W4500 which has very poor sound. I didn't want to invest in a home cinema system just yet and a friend recommended these to me. As long as you can hide the subwoofer (which is unsightly in a living room) out of sight.. this is a great product for the money.

Audiophiles won't be happy of course but then what do you expect for the money. They sound great for Movies and PS3 Gaming.

Rating: - Great speakers but don't expect magic
Amazon feedback is great but when a product gets great feedback it's easy to asume your going to get something magical. I have had these speakers for a few months and the sound quality gets better - after abot 50 hours play. With my highly rated new 16gb Sony mp3 they sony ok, but with any laptop with an average to good sound card they do sound pretty amazing. I did have a pair of mordaunt short speakers (with a £750 seperates system)that sounded a lot better in terms of pure sound quality but this systems mix of sheer power and quality sound is to be admired. Also, in my experience only, high quality speakers are easily damaged at high sound levels - something this system can deal with. If you have the majority of your music on your laptop - you won't be disappointed.

Rating: - good speakers for the money,but not refined at all.
I ve had a set of Logitech z3-e speakers for over a year and was (for the money) quite pleased with them and after reading some reviews for the Logitech z-2300 speakers i thought i'd treat myself and upgrade,and now im thinking that i shouldn't have bothered because the cheaper z3-e speakers sounded a lot better than the z-2300s.The problem with these speakers is that the bass is just too muddy and boomy and the overall sound quality isnt very good.build quality is excellent,so is the remote volume/bass control.i just feel that logitech have used very cheap and overpowered amps to sell this item.if you are used to £20 pc speakers or you like minimal house or techno music played at wall shaking volumes,then maybe these are for you..though i did directly compared these to the cheaper z3-e speakers and these sounded awful,i just wish they tried harder with the sound quality rather than sound quantity. save youself 30 quid and get the z3-e .
