this film is less a romance but more like a journey as Jimmy(eric Stolz) attempts to get the money together to pay off his gambling debts. Jimmy gets his Girlfriends brother(campbell Scott) involved by convincing him it's for her so they can arrange an abortion. The pair then make separate trips around the bars of new york. Darryl hannah pops up as Jimmy sister who also dated campbell scott. Add to this lonesharks after the money, several drunks (including one who's British), the fact it's the festive season and you have quite an entertaining film but it fails to be a romantic comedy but is really an enjoyable comedy/drama with a touch of romance. it does have a very sloppy ending though that fails to deliver.
