Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good
This was the infamous and controversial year that had Schumacher disqualified in Belgium and banned from the races in Italy and Portugal. There were solid allegations that the Benetton had illegal traction and launch control and was incredibly found not guilty. The season ends as controversially as it had went on, with Schumacher colliding with Hill in Australia to win the championship. And last, but not least: the deaths of Senna and Ratzenberger.

I can see why one may be curious to see Senna and Ratzenberger's fatal accidents. You would be better off watching them online. The tributes to them in this video were fitting.

It was quite good but lacked information, especially about the top six placings and the video could have been longer.

They got that right in the next one.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Great atmosphere, poor footage
The 1994 season was the year in which Michael Schumacher won his first title, but it is remembered more for the fatal crashes of Roland Ratzenberger and three-time world champion Ayrton Senna at the same race event.
This video captures the atmosphere well, with thoughtful photo tributes to both drivers and many interviews with drivers and team personnel. There are also excerpts from the key press conferences held by Max Mosely held after the accidents. The build up to the season is very good indeed, and there is a range of music used that bring events such as Jean Alesi's first pole position to life. The practice and qualifying sessions are well covered.
However, the race coverage itself is disappointing, especially for a video considerably longer than the previous two years. In fact, it is the most disappointing I have seen in the period 1987-2004. The qualifying results are not shown, and neither are the race results. This leads to confusion as it is common for not all of the points finishers to be mentioned. The in-race coverage is often short with a dearth of commentary as we watch pointless on-board shots for whole laps, along the lines of start-one incident-driver wins. This is particularly true of Monaco, Spain and Canada and there is also a lack of footage in other events.
However, this video is not too bad overall and is a worthwhile buy if you liked the 1994 season, want to expand your knowledge of F1 history or want to buy it as part of a set.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - More action required
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. The tragic events at Imola were dealt with in a very appropriate way which made you genuinely feel the tragedy that was inflicted on that terrible day. I find it disturbing that someone would want to watch those fatal crashes, though.
The video created the tension experienced throughout the season very well, and it was good to be told about free practice and qualifying, which has been lacking from some of the recent videos (eg. Formula One 2003). However, I was a bit disappointed that in quite a few races, including Brazil, Aida, Spain to name a few, there was an obvious lack of footage. I was amazed when in Spain the narrator said '25 laps later'. Surely something even slightly significant must have happened then. Also in Aida when Hill passed 5 or 6 cars in 10 laps or so, why not show the overtaking manoeuvres? This took the edge off what could have been an excellent video. However, this wasn't always the case. In some of the later races, there was sufficient detail, but the race sections appeared to be rushed.
So overall, this is a good video if you enjoy hearing qualifying details and banter in the paddock, but more action is required, as this is what the majority of F1 fans such as myself tune in for.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Schumi's first world title
Firstly i'd like to start by paying tribute to the late great Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenburger who were both tradically killed at Imola on the 1st of May. Both were killed in accidents, Ratzenburg in Friday Qualifying, Senna during lap 7 of the race itself.
Secondly, I would like to apologise for the comments made by a so called fan of f1, by saying you don't even get to see the fatal crashes. I have never seen them, and I can't imagine anyone but this sicko who would want to.
Right, to the action. This was a pretty exciting year for f1. The main battle was of course Hill vs Schumacher, with the championship coming to the final race of the year at Adelade. Schumacher, knowing he is about to lose, crashes into Hill, knocking them both out of the race, and handing the title to the German. He tried the same tactic in 1997, but that time it failed and he lost the title. An exciting ending to an overall exciting year.
However, that is not all you should buy the video for! It contains plenty of controversy, for example Schumacher being disqualified at Silverstone, and some great racing action as well.
As well as this, it contains Ayrton Senna's last ever lap of f1, a great tribute to a great man.
Overall this is a good video, with good action, racing, and controversy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best and most tragic season I have ever seen
Firstly, I disagree totally with the coments made by the 'F1 fan' who thought this video was 'very disapointing', I'm sure everyone else does too.
Who would want to see those accidents at Imola? I have never seen them and I don't want to. I don't want to see Ayrton Senna or Ratzenberger dying. As for the video, it is the most exciting tense season I have ever seen in formula 1. The race lengths aqre quite good as well. If you are an F1 fan, by this video, it has some real racing in it.
