Rating: - A huge pile of hokum
I would never buy this book, but a well-meaning friend bought it for me as I have been working through some issues recently. Having read it, I can say that it is the modern equivalent of snake oil - it contains lots of pretty words but is essentially a big CON. Dressed up as inspirational stories and advice, the author is essentially peddling wishes and dreams. Rather than wasting your time on this kind of book, I would recommend instead that you find a good book on job hunting, dating, weight loss, confidence or whatever your issues are.

Rating: - hopeful!
This book promises what is just surely too good to be true and therefore reminds me of The Monkey's Paw, where wishes being granted brought misery and horror. Also I do not believe we are creators of the universe. I certainly didn't do anything to create it. But it's so compelling and I want to believe it and so far it's working! I got a great new promotion the day after reading it (and by following the principles) which had been eluding me for years! I also feel so much better in myself; happier and more confident. I'm still waiting on the sportscar though!

Rating: - Read it and then take ACTION!
If you read this book with an open mind and actually take action and DO some of the things it suggests... you cannot fail to see the difference in your life. I've created my own sucessful company and what I learned in this book has been crucial to it's growth and sucess.

Rating: - A good introduction to the law of attraction
This is basically the movie transcribed. The intro is annoying as they babble on about 'The Secret' for far too long before getting to what it actually is.
Once it gets going it covers the topic well, but is a bitty as it jumps from contributor to contributor.
For me this was my introduction to Esther Hicks, who after reading her books changed my life. So i do owe The Secret a debt of gratitude as it opened my eyes, and showed me the way, even if it didn't change my life on it's own. But do what it says and research some of the avatars quoted in there and see whose writings work or you.
For me it was Esther Hicks, for my Mum it was Napoleon Hill, and for my friend it was Bob Proctor. But we all were introduced to these writers through this book.

Rating: - Only positive things to gain here....
I would reccommend people read this book, there is only positive things to gain from it. If you have read other books on the subject then it's likely you have read this and if this is your first it's a good place to start! The book has proved to provide 'the secret' for rhonda byrne, those featured in it and there is absolutely no reason why you cant join them in the success you desire too.
