If your considering taking up running or returning after a long lay off this is a bright, fun and funky guide with loads of practical tips. The training routine eases you in and over the weeks builds your fitness up to running a half or full marathon. Its also full of inspiring real life stories to motivate you, a really good introduction.

This is a truly fantastic book. I have been overweight and unfit since childhood and the thought of exercise didn't appeal. However, my sister is getting married later this year and I've got to wear a frock. Having stumbled on this book just after Christmas, I thought I would give running a go. It is truly inspirational, easy to follow and written in a way that makes me smile and think yeah - I can do it! The fist session I struggled to jogg for 60 seconds, but I kept with it. I completed the 10 weeks and have lost over a stone in weight, I feel so much healthier and fitter. I completed my first 5K 'run' last night and managed to jog all the way in a time of 33 minutes and 37 seconds. I would never have thought I would enjoy running, but I love it! I'm already on the 10K plan and have entered The Great Women's 10K in the middle of June. Go on - If I can, anyone can!

Before I purchased this book I would say that I used every excuse for why I couldnt exercise. But after being recommended this book I decided to give it a go. Well Im now on week six and getting up at six o'clock (usually unheard of)most mornings and throughly enjoying the whole experience.Im not claiming to be the next Zola Budd but I am feeling quite pleased with myself that for once I can stop using those excuses.

I bought this book earlier this year as I wanted to get fit and healthy without any extreme dieting. It has fantastic advice on getting started and taking you from lazy to fit in a matter of months.

I'm in the 7th week of my 60 second plan and I feel great. A lot of people think running is as easy as slipping on your trainers and running a few miles, but if your starting out, it's far from that.

If your commited, this book can also take you to competing in races, even the marathon within a year. I'm already confident enough that i'll be running in the London marathon 2009.

This book has helped my running so much, and can do the same for you,

just buy this book!Have run on & off for years never quite enjoying it & struggling with back pain.After 6wks completely incapacitated i decided to try a 'proper'program & to make sure i followed it.All i can say is WOW!This has changed my life so much i have bought 4 more copies for friends & family-we are all really enjoying running,some for the first time ever.So much more energy & joy in running now.Am on the 10 km plan as a progression now & it's still WOW!
