Having surrounded myself with many similar books over the years, I was slightly disappointed with this purchase. I am a hardend follower of Ruby and Millie and wear many of their cosmetics and share in their ethos of branding. Although the book was very graphically pleasing with bright, precise pictures and good styling I felt that the content was very watered down and did not do their skills justice.
Their advice was quite basic and followed the theme of many similar books. I also found many contradictions to what I had read in other books. I also purchased Bobbi Brown at the same time and found this a far better and more informed buy. Sorry Ruby and Millie I really didn't want to say this about the book because your products are fantastic.

For those of us (including me) that don't have a clue how to put on make up, then this book provides a step by step guide. From base, to eyes, lips and nails this book provides an insiders guide to make up from 2 leading make up artists (they have their own range sold in Boots, although this book is not a promotional tool for the make up range).
