Though now there the Extreme IV and Ducati versions, with speed over 40MB/s, you really need a top-end camera or card reader. But these babies now are presented in the 30MB/s version, well above what my camera can cope and even more than my Extreme USB reader can muster. The speed, combined with no faults in years of severe usage/abuse, and a no-frills warranty make this the safest buy. I wouldn't go above 4GB for security ... I would probably have bought a cheaper one, but felt it worth paying the extra for the accompanying RescuePro software, just in case.
