The ceramic plate makes all the difference. The difference is so obvious when you use this to iron! It irons so smooth you think your shirts has come out of the dry cleaners. Easy to use and operate also for people like me who are not very good in ironing anyways!! On arrival my wife was keen to try it out and filled the iron with distilled water using the small container provided. This was somewhat messy as the water hole is quite small but after setting the steam to full, away she went.
