Despite that, the book does provide for some interesting styles and cuts. My partner really likes the book (it's her rating), and has trimmed a few of her friends' hairs. But, in terms of D.I.Y hair styling, the step by step guides are quite vauge. Some styles start with instructions such as 'blow dry into curls', which is actually very difficult to do with most hair types, and no instruction is given in the introduction on how to achieve this. A basic explanation of commonly used techniques wouldn't have gone amiss. For example, saying 'disguise hairband ... For less than £7 theres 62 hair designs, each with photo step-by-steps. With some hair books, I find that they have very few styles that brides/bridesmaids/prom girls will go for because the majority are catwalk styles. This book is very different. Most of the styles can be worn and the rest can be adapted slightly. Definately well worth the money. Rating: - ExcellentBy FAR the best value for an upstyle book I've seen in a long time. Patrick cameron is the most well known and I have all his books too. Davis Bitton ( this stylist ) is on par with him and this book is a great investment Rating: - Amazing!!This book is well worth the money... I've been buying loads of hair books online and this one has been by far the best and cheapest, I cant believe it's less than £7. The step by step instructions makes doing fancy hairstyles easy! |
