| If you like Ellen Burstyn, or even if you don't and have a bit of an open mind, you'll love this film. It is a moving and sensitive portrayal of the painful journey of someone blessed/cursed with perception and abilities that we normally discount. Ellen Burstyn is magnificent, and the story is compelling. |

| I saw this film for the first time when I was maybe 11 years old (mid-60s) and became captivated by everything concerning the TITANIC ever since.
It's a waste to compare it to either the 1953 Clifton Webb movie or to the Cameron version. For the Webb film, Walter Lord's book had not yet come out so the producers worked with what they had as far as historical "facts." | Walkabout is introduced in the film as an important period in the life of an Aborigine. A time at the age of sixteen or so that the man-child must survive in the bush by himself for six months. Moves too fast to become boring, but its instantly forgettable despite the good cast. Stick with John Milius' 1973 movie of the same name. |

| I saw this movie for the first time last night w/ my father. He wanted me to see this movie to see the contrast of what people were like in the 40's-50's and how society is today. I'm 23 years old and to be honest with you, I thought that I wouldn't like this movie. As it turns out, I greatly enjoyed it. It was a wonderful story, full of patriotism - it just makes you proud to be in this country. What movies are out that are like this today? None. | I was 15 when I waited for this show every week! I still remember when the 5th Dimension was on the show singing "One Less Bell to Answer" and there was a series of dissonant chords tacked on to the ending (for this show). The final chord was to cause some kind of explosion or something. Of course, Al figures it out beforehand and all is right with the world! WHY, OH WHY is this show NOT on DVD??? | Dreary "What-If" movie about a bunch of brat packers (a militia group calling themselves "The Wolverines") revolting against Soviet occupied America. The action/battle sequences are third-rate, the characters are one dimensional, and the script is very lame and predictable.
