| I just spent a couple of hours looking at this wonderful movie and the extra features. The aptly named Masterpiece Edition is worth every penny, and like The Matrix, should be included in any movie collection, whether you have a child to hide behind or not. | I remember liking this movie as a child, so I must believe that it is still a good children's movie. However, this is definitely a "B" list movie from Rankin-Bass, and doesn't have the charm, music, or cohesion of their "A" list movies--"Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," "The Year Without a Santa Claus," and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." | This is a great video. It shows many dinosaurs, and my daughter (2 yrs old) loved the dinosaur egg! (she call this the egg movie). It is also informative. What I like the most is that the paleontologist, whom the class meets at an escavation site, is a woman with a sense of humor and great enthusism for her search. It is a realistic and great female role model, not the fake token woman scientist in science fiction movies. |

| This video is a great way for kids to think of energy as being much more than plugging in an electric cord. The MSB kids learn how to tap into the energy of the wind, flowing water and the sun. Although somewhat farfetched in its actually abilities to through rocks all the way up a mountain, it gets the kids thinking about a cleaner way to power up! It came from this cartoon, Pinocchio, Walt Disney's second feature to "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" in 1940. I repeat 1940!! | The original LBT was the ONLY good one. That awful habbit of singing every 5 min has GOT to go! & 3D animation may be "new" & "in" but it looks like "crap" mixed with cell. Much like Disney, Universal Studious is more interested in spewing out animation of poor quality in a rush for profits. They've lost their integrity of quality entertainment. Plus it's torture having to watch it if you're over 13. |

| What rubbish. Way too much violence. Why do kids movies have to be so violent these days? (or when it was made). Had a few laughs (I'm an ex-pat Australian) but not worth the plastic it was made from. Certainly not recommended for general viewing as the cover shows. |
