| Firstly - I love "What not to wear" and was hopeful when reading this book. Unfortunately the categories where just to wide / unclear. (Tall & curvy or tall and fuller on top.) I was unsure where I fit in. I would suggest you rather read "The Science of Sexy" by Bradley Bayou. He categorizes you by measurements, height and weight - it was idiot-proof with wonderful advice. | I've read Paula's book for about 10 years now. This new edition is great! Be sure to read the beginning of the book before reviewing the reviews - gives you a better background. She also has an extensive Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary at the back and there is lots of great info there. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a 50% coupon off the annual subscription rate for the online version of the book with ongoing updates and new products! | This book does touch on a lot of the basics of skincare, finding the right makeup for your complexion, etc. etc. I loved that she had a list of recommended shades and products according to different complexions and skin-types. Although some of the contents--basics of skincare for example--may feel like common information, she includes enough tips and pointers to make the book a worthwhile read. And her tips on Asian complexions--incredibly useful in a market full of products intended for fairer complexions! |

| "How Not to Look Old" by Charla Krupp is an excellent book. She covers everything from make-up, hair, wardrobe, glasses, shapewear, jewelry, shoes and boots and tells you what's very OL (Old lady) and what is Y&H (younger and hipper). Our daughter bought the book, and I could not put it down. I read as much as I could while visting her and took tons of notes, but I just had to have a book of my own.
